In the beginning, there was nothing but darkness and chaos. But from this primordial void, two worlds emerged: Muspelheim, the realm of fire and heat, and Niflheim, the realm of ice and cold. The meeting point between these two worlds was the Ginnungagap, a vast and empty void.

It was in this void that the giant Ymir was born. He was the first of his kind, a being of immense size and power, with skin made of ice and hair made of frost. For ages, Ymir wandered alone in the Ginnungagap, until one day, he stumbled upon a cow named Audhumla.
